When we first arrived at Aahana Resort Jim Corbett with Apurva and Kaustubh, the space didn’t feel like something that needed to be reimagined. Surrounded by dense greens and open skies, it already carried a quiet, effortless beauty that set its own tone.
From the beginning, the focus was on working with what existed rather than changing it. The idea was to build gently into the space, adding layers that felt natural and intentional, so every element blended in seamlessly while still elevating the overall experience. A glass welcome board set the tone with its clean, minimal presence, blending effortlessly into the greens around it.
Soft drapes flowed between structures, chandeliers were suspended delicately among the trees, and candlelight began to take over as the sun dipped. It didn’t feel staged. It felt like the space was naturally evolving.
Dining Under the Trees
The palette stayed close to the surroundings. Whites and greens formed the base, with florals like tuberose, roses, baby’s breath, and daisies layered across the setup.
At the center of it all sat the mandap. Draped in ivory fabric and layered with fresh blooms, it felt like a continuation of the space rather than a separate structure.
For Apurva and Kaustubh, this celebration wasn’t about adding more. And somewhere between the greens, the candlelight, and the quiet details, the space became exactly what it needed to be.
